Performance Drivetrain
Whether you are a seasoned racer or a week-end track junkie, drivetrain upgrades are probably among one of the most satisfying any car owner can do this side of forced induction.
But even a stock car can benefit from lightweight flywheel and Quaife ATB differential will come handy not only when flying through the corners at your next track day, but will provide needed power and traction to the slipping wheel during those skiing trips.

Quaife ATB Differential (return to top)

The Quaife Differential powers both drive wheels under nearly all conditions, instead of just one. With an ordinary open differential, standard on most cars, a lot of precious power is wasted during wheelspin under acceleration. This happens because the open differential shifts power to the wheel with less grip (along the path of least resistance). The Quaife, however, does just the opposite. It senses which wheel has the better grip, and biases the power to that wheel. It does this smoothly and constantly, and without ever completely removing power from the other wheel.
The Quaife's unique design offers maximum traction, improves handling and steering, and puts the power where it is needed most. A definite advantage whether on the track or on the street.

UUC Motorwerks Power Clutch Package (return to top)

Now available - complete Stage 2 flywheel and clutch kits with choice of these clutch components:
- OEM BMW M5 clutch kit (organic)
- Performance Organic  (performance street/track organic)
- UltraSmooth Cerametallic - (performance street / track / high power supercharger or turbocharger)
- Multi-Puck Ceramic ( track, high power, and extreme drag-racing use)

Rogue Engineering Finned Differential Cover (return to top)

What happens when you use a stock differential at the track, even at a simple driver school?  With a single 30 minute track session, a driver with average ability can increase the temperatures in a stock differential, causing the fluid to start seeping out of the vent hole.  By doubling the capacity of the amount of differential fluid, as well as adding much needed cooling fins, the differential is allowed to function properly, within the factory specified temperature parameters.

UUC Underdrive Pulleys (return to top)

As most know, the heart of every BMW is its engine.  When you blip the throttle to ask for power, the engine responds with the power that BMW designed into it.  Well, almost all of the power.
The engine is also asked to drive specific accessories in the vehicle such as the A/C compressor, alternator, power steering pump and water pump.  All of these crank pulley driven accessories inherently affect the engine's efficiency.
UUC's underdrive pulleys reduce parasitic drag by reducing the speed of the water pump and power steering pulleys relative to the crank pulley speed. Each pulley set includes two new accessory pulleys and a new special length drive belt.

UUC Transmission Mounts Enforcers (return to top)

The most effective, bang-for-the-buck upgrade just got better!

In the past, simply using transmission mounts from a 320i provided some benefit when used in late model BMWs. By developing the Tranmission Mount Enforcer (TME), it increases it's effectiveness substantially, without ill effects. Installation is rather painless and the benefits are tremendous. With the overwhelming popularity of our Tranny Mount Enforcers, we decided to improve the system even more.

By working with a vibration control company, they have been able to produce a custom vibration mount designed to work specifically with the TME. However, by specifying specific design parameters with the mount, the most effective upgrade just got better. By maintaining the vibration dampening and deflection properties of the 320i mount and incorporating minute changes for use with the TME, you have an upgrade that has no equal! No vibration, no modifications to the car or driveline, no change in height of transmission bushings.

UUC "Big Boy" Clutch Stop (return to top)

The advent of an adjustable clutch stop lets the driver specifically set the ideal point of reference where the clutch pedal stops just after the clutch mechanism disengages. Therefore, once set properly, the gas pedal may be applied immediately after the clutch pedal is released.

This lets the driver shift with one less item to worry about, actually forcing them to become smoother. The clutch stop works on many BMWs (including the new E46 modelswith slight modification to the clutch-sensor switch).

UUC Motorwerks Clutch Arm Bushings (return to top)

Quite simply, it is well-known that BMW's original clutch arm bushings are the culprit for these annoying problems.
By simply replacing the stock bushings with the UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight polycetal) UUC Motorwerks Clutch Arm Bushings, you can permanently get rid of that annoying squeak and the side-slop.

Red Line Synthetic Gear Lubricants  (return to top)

Red Line Gear Oils and Transmission Lubricants are designed to provide excellent low-temperature shiftability and improved gear protection at higher temperatures. Red Line Gear Oils will reduce differential temperatures 10-70°F. Efficiency improvements between 1-5% are typical. The synthetic base stocks used have tremendous thermal stability and provide the best film strength available. The unique combination of base stocks and additives allow Red Line gear and transmission oils to carry higher loads compared to petroleum lubricants. The stability of these products allow them to be used for extended periods.
